I’ve always loved reading but I had never ventured into the comic book genre until recently. I simply don’t care for superheros. I had also assumed that comics generally lacked any sort of depth and discounted it as something that just wasn’t for me, until I discovered the first volume of The Sandman on my boyfriends bookshelf. I’m almost to the halfway mark of the first volume and its a book that I would just want to sit and finish in a day if given the opportunity. I haven’t felt this way in awhile. Once I finish the book, I will actually post why you might enjoy it as well but for now I am just Excited to have discovered a possible treasure.
“People think dreams aren’t real because they aren’t made of matter, of particles. Dreams ARE real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes…” The Sandman Vol.1 (Neil Gaiman)
